83 approved premises take pigs, according to the Food Standards Agency's list of 1 October 2026. 8 have confirmed private kill with us so far.

Which parts of the country have the most abattoirs for pigs?

Most are in the South West (18), the East of England (11) and the West Midlands (11).

What paperwork do pigs need to go to the abattoir?

Pig moves in England and Wales are licensed through eAML2, which you complete before the pigs travel. Pigs also need the right identification and food chain information.
